THE PIPELINE IS ON THE WEBSITE
This month’s issue explores growing public concern about the way the oil and gas industry is working to improve operations in urban areas. This will become more and more important this year as the Texas Railroad Commission undergoes its ten-year reexamination by the Texas Legislature’s Sunset Commission.
You’ll also get a look at how runaway state regulations can affect the way we explore for new reserves, especially in New Mexico. At least one county has decided to make setting up a drilling rig so difficult that there’s no point in even trying.
Recurring features include the Casenote legal column, and the Bottom Line from the Bank of Oklahoma. You’ll also find the statistical files on key industry indicators and a review of drilling and permit activity.
We’re open to suggestions about content. If you have an issue we should cover, or would like to have a “letter to the editor” published, please e-mail or call.
And, if you’d rather get just the online version, let us know. A large number of our members find it easier to print out their favorite sections and pass them around. All you need to do is e-mail us at pproa@pproa.org
